About Our Product & Sizes

Great Bear Native Plants specializes in restoration-grade native plants adapted to the harsh climates of the Intermountain West. We offer plants in multiple sizes tailored to the needs of restoration and reclamation professionals, landscape architects, retail and wholesale nurseries, and ranchers.

Liner stock and Cone-tainers

Our standard liner stock sizes are Ray-leach 7ci (cubic inch) and 10ci cone-tainers.
*Commonly in stock

7ci* - They are ideal for pot-ups into QTs and #1’s and are also great for larger outplantings, such as pollinator meadows.

10ci* - They are perfect for pot-ups into #1’s and #2’s and larger outplantings or the edges of landscapes. This container is very cost effective for restoration, reclamation, and landscaping projects. The balanced root to shoot ratio enhances plant survival in the harsh climates common to the intermountain West.

Restoration, Reclamation, and Landscaping

For restoration we offer multiple “Deepot” sizes, all emphasizing root depth and quality.

D40* - Suitable potting into #3’s-#5’s for restoration/reclamation, field growing, and other landscaping applications

D16 - Suitable potting into #2’s for restoration/reclamation plantings and other landscaping applications

D25 - Suitable potting into #2’s-#4’s for restoration/reclamation, field growing, and other landscaping applications

D60 - Suitable for restoration/reclamation plantings, field growing, and other landscaping applications

TP49 "Short #1" - Suitable for restoration/reclamation plantings and other landscaping applications

TP414 "Tall #1" or 4X - Suitable for restoration/reclamation plantings and other landscaping applications

Nurseries and Landscaping

We stock 7ci & 10ci plugs, Quarts, and #1’s throughout the year, with an emphasis on #1’s. Quarts are sold in flats of 10.

If liner stock is available, custom orders and pot-ups can be ready in anywhere from 4-12 weeks, depending on time of year, weather and species.

We stock a limited amount of #2’s, #3’s, and #5’s. Depending on time of year, species and liner stock availability, custom orders and pot-ups can be ready anywhere from 3 to 24 months.
